We have the pleasure in donating to these great charities.

Habitat for Humanity

We at Landen Design & Project Management partnered up with and are very committed to Habitat Housing, we have several ways that we donate and help Habitat:

We directly donate to Habitat our time and money
We also encourage our staff, employees, and tradesman to donate their volunteer time. To further encourage this we offer a once a year prize trip to a sunny designation drawn out of a “barrel of names” of volunteer employee or tradesman that have participated and committed at least five or more volunteer working days to Habitat. We also allow our staff the ability to take time off during the work week to donate time to Habitat. This way Habitat can count on our volunteer time during a normal work week rather than our staff only being able to offer time on week-ends.
We also have a dollar for dollar matching program with our staff, employees and tradesmen whereby every dollar they donate to Habitat is matched by Landen. (Some conditions apply)
We also have a dollar for dollar matching program to encourage our clients to donate where we agree to also match their donations (Some conditions apply)
Further, we donate architectural design time each year to Habitat, and agree to provide full architectural drafting and design services for a full set of structural plans for up to two (2) Habitat homes/units per year.

Founder Greg Genereux directly donates in volunteer hands on construction hours to Habitat homes, committing to a full 30 working days per year to Habitat.

Volunteering as a construction worker bringing his 40 years of expertise to the job.

Greg also tries to line up Landen’s volunteer staff to work with him at the same time so that we can offer a cohesive work force that is already used to working with each other to coordinate with Habitat management.

The Mustard Seed

One of our other charities is the Mustard Seed that provides much needed services to the homeless:

We directly donate to the Mustard Seed our time and money
Founder Greg Genereux and his wife Carol directly volunteer time to the Mustard Seed, especially in the busy cold weather months.
We also encourage our staff, employees, and tradesman to donate their volunteer time, to the Mustard Seed, and allow our staff to use this time as a combined part of our Habitat draw for the holiday designation prize as part of their minimum committed to at least five or more volunteer working days to Habitat and or the Mustard Seed, or combination of volunteer time to both. Like our Habitat commitment, we also allow our staff to take time off during the work week to donate their time to the Mustard Seed.
We also have a dollar for dollar matching program with our staff and employees, whereby every dollar they donate to the Mustard Seed we match a dollar (some conditions apply).

We also work with the Mustard Seed to offer employment to the homeless, where we help in training to offer the homeless a new career, and open the door to the Alberta Apprentice Programs.

The Soup Sisters

One of our other charities is the Soup Sisters that provides much needed home-made soup to the homeless.

This was a great idea started and created by a local Calgary resident that started out getting together with a bunch of like-minded “home-cooks. Greg and his wife Carol volunteer their time to help make home-made soup – it is great fun and helps out a good cause and we also encourage our staff to participate.

Apprenticeship Programs

We are also proud contributors to the Alberta Apprenticeship Program, whereby we sponsor apprentices in the Trade of Carpentry and Architectural Design, and nurture them through to becoming Journeyman Carpenters and tradesman.

We also work with our other in-house trades to encourage them to also partner up in the Apprenticeship Program offering Plumbing, Electrical, and Mechanical HVAC apprenticeships.
